An elliptical (Oval) shaped compression spring (2 & 3). When threaded screw is activated, the body compresses against the LEAF spring to continue to exert pressure in the bi-lateral direction. When the screw maximizes a width consistent with one pair of guide pins, with continued advancement of screw against the LEAF spring. This reactivates and continues with the built in force, and expands the screw on the second set of guide pins.
6mm Expansion Dual Leaf spring mechanism with Light force with 450 g for continued Bi-Lateral pressure.
6mm expansion Dual Leaf spring mechanism with Medium force with 900 g for continued Bi-Lateral pressure.
9mm expansion Triple spring mechanism with Light 450 g force for continued activation.
9mm Expansion Triple Spring mechanism with Medium 900g force for continued activation.
900 g Medium Force is used most for midline suture expansion.
450 g Light Force is used of minor Unilateral crossbites, where no suture is involved.
